Arts and International Collaboration CAS ZHdK 2023
CAS Arts and International Collaboration brings together artists and members of internationally cooperating organizations from the Global South and North. What they share is an interest in the potential of the arts to support processes of social transformations and peacebuilding and an engagement for fair and sensitive international collaboration. Through a study-trip with field visits, they gain an insight into actual art projects in fragile contexts and reflect them on the basis of tools and concepts from current literature. They conclude with a mentored diploma thesis that relates to an individual project or work-context.
Evelin’s Research Project – The creation of a participatory performance for the whole family, as a starting point to engage, build a community of artists, and the general public, with the aim of creating and stimulating collaboration and sustainability in artistic practice in a social context in Salvador- Bahia, Brazil.
The objective of this investigation is to understand, from theory to practice, the importance of artistic projects in the social context in Salvador, Bahia-Brazil, understanding the socio-political situation, historically as well at the present time, the importance of cultural mediations, for the implementation, realization and sustainability of these actions and most important to hear the voices of important latino american and brazilian authors, educators and artists working in the field.
