Lost in the Medina

Tunisia 2023

The camel rests serene,

The horse stands tall,

The fish glides through water,

While José watches it all.

Half a rose-flavored cookie,

Warm nutty jam,

Pink, green, and yellow,

To eat all at once

Round, square, flat, or long,

In this place, it all belongs.

People pass, pass, and go,

They wander there

They wonder here

And there’s always an eye watching

And alone I can’t stay

Lost in the Medina I only see a slice of the sky.

Airplane In the  shape of a Cloud

Planes swallowed by the sky shroud

Clouds that cries rain

Rain that leaks  the ground

Hide Hide Hide and seek, cover your face,   thunder is coming down

Lost in the Medina,

A labyrinth of finds,

Spices, souvenirs, porcelain, or gifts of all kinds.

There are colorful rugs,

There are rugs on the ground

Rugs to sleep, eat, drink  watch TV

Very comfortable on the ground.

Lost in the Medina

Crying afraid in a  corner,

So many passed by me,

Yet no one seemed to bother.

And Those who saw did not stop,

What could they do?

If I am lost  I am lost

And Not know what to do

What should I do?
