After completing a degree from the Dance University UFBA, Brazil (Teacher Certificate), Evelin started her international career, performing her own solo work along with teaching classical ballet, creative dance, and contemporary dance for children, youths, and adults.

In Hong Kong , where she lived with her family for the last 18 years, Evelin completed a master’s degree in Fine Arts with a Major in Dance Education, at the Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong, and founded and directed the company MotiveforMotion, since 2014.

The company focuses on process-oriented performance projects and promotes dance classes, workshops, and performances for screen, stage and site-specific.

Currently living in Zurich, Evelis is working on her next project Making Up Stories. An Participatory performance experience for young audiences through dance, music and storytelling. This project was part of her studies at the Zurich University of Arts, Zürich Hochschule der Kunst- Zhdk – CAS Certificate for Advanced Studies.
I strive to cultivate and stimulate children’s natural ability to move and express themselves. By making them more aware of the range and control of their movements, they develop a basic dance vocabulary and find rhythm and expression in their gestures.

My teaching materials include dance techniques such as classical ballet (RAD and the Cuban method), contemporary dance, as well as improvisation and composition exercises. The activities are designed to improve posture, body and movement awareness, coordination, concentration, and interaction.

The classes, playful and fun, stimulate children’s creativity, self-confidence, and expression, regardless of their gender or age.
